For the Fall/Winter 2024 season, Kasei Archive
dives into the world of PARANG, a traditional
motif from the island of Java in Indonesia which
depicts the resilience of the infinite ocean waves
that hit the shore. Adapting the classic motif
from a vintage batik block stamp, they re-
invented the shape of the characteristic
interlocking motif with a contemporary touch
that matches the bold, minimalistic garments in
this collection.
